Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is our responsibility to provide security and good governance to the people of the State. The incident of robbery with a foreign national who visited the State is unfortunate, he said. Such incidents affect the image of the State. Taking such cases seriously, full vigilance should be exercised in future, CM ordered. Chouhan held a virtual meeting with the officials in the morning from the residence office regarding the incidents of robbery with foreign national in Bhopal, activities of dacoit Gudda in Morena and non-availability of housing to the beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Satna and received information about the action taken so far. In relation to the incident of robbery with Portuguese citizen Nuno Rodrigues in Bhopal recently, Commissioner of Police Makrand Deuskar said that all the three accused have been arrested. Nuno, who was injured in the incident, was treated by sending a medical team to the hotel. Collector Avinash Lavania and police officers reached the hotel to inquire about his well being. It was informed that in Rahikwar village of Satna district, an FIR has been lodged against three employees in the matter of non-availability of accommodation to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and misappropriation of funds, investigation is going on in the matter. Chouhan said that beneficiary-wise examination of all the houses approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be conducted, strict action should be taken against the guilty. Chouhan said that it should be ensured that no poor faces problems in the investigation. Chouhan, taking a firm stand on the threatening activities being carried out by dacoit Gudda Gurjar in Chanchaul village of Morena district, directed the Morena SP to take immediate action. He said that no robber gang is active in the state. The terror and arbitrary activities of any one will not be allowed.
