VINEET Raj of SFS College and Nidhi Tarale of Arvindbabu Deshmukh College, Bharsingi emerged winners in boys and girls categories respectively in the inter-college cycle race jointly organised on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti by Dr Madhukarrao Wasnik PWS College, Rajkumar Kewalramani Kanya Mahavidyalaya and Rotary Club Nagpur. Riyansh Sontakle (Dr Ambedkar College) and Badal Jape (DMW PWS College) finished second and third while Yash Khadse (Y CCE) came fourth and ManishYadav (VMV College) finished fifth in boys category. In girls section, Nidhi Tarale (Arvind Deshmukh College, Bharsingi), Arti Mandal (Rajkumar Kewalramani College), Manaswi Chavhan (PWS Sports Academy) and Neha Bahmiya (Dayanand Arya Girls’s College) finished second to fifth. The races were flagged off by Dr Yeshwant Patil, Principal, DMW PWS College and Dr Urmila Dabir, Principal, Rajkumar Kewalramani Kanya Mahavidyalaya.
 
The boys race was of 21 kms whereas the girls race was of 11 kms on Kamptee Road. The race received a huge response from twenty-one colleges in and around Nagpur with 250 boys and girls cyclists participating in the event. Anilkumar Karwande, ExPrincipal of Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education, was chief guest of the prize distribution function.Vijaykumar Kewalramani, Chairman, Sindhu Navyuwak Mandal, presided over. Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, Director of Physical Education and Sports, RTM Nagpur University, Dr Madhu Patil, Ex HoD, Phy Edu of Dr Ambedkar College) Prof Dattatray Khare, HoD of Phy Edu Dept, Dharampeth College, Nilophar Rana, Secretary of Rotary Club Nagpur, Manoj Wasnik, Joint Secretary of People’s Welfare Society were prominently present on the occasion. DrYeshwant Patil, Principal, PWS College and Dr Urmila Dabir were also present on the dais. Dr Saurabh Mohod, Ankush Ghate, Dr Amol Mendhe, Dr Madhavi Moharil, Dr Anita Chandwani, Dr Chetana Bhatt, Dr Sushant Chimankar, Dr Kamalakar Tagade worked hard for the success of the event. Dr Rajani Harode conducted the programme while Dr Amol Mendhe proposed a vote of thanks.
