Sarva Adavasi Samaj led by Chhattisgarh Pradesh BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha staged Chakkajam at Patel Chowk Durg on Wednesday to express their anger and protest against the reduction of 32 per cent reservation for Scheduled Tribes in Chhattisgarh to 20 perc ent.

Traffic was affected for some time due to the jam. During this, the BJP leaders and tribal society raised slogans against the state government for reducing the percentage of reservation. However, huge police force swung into action due to the demonstration and pacified the protesters to end the jam. Meanwhile, State Scheduled Tribe Morcha Vice President MD Thakur said that the injustice done to the tribal society on the issue of reservation has exposed the state government. The state government says that it is friendly to the tribal society, but due to the reduction of reservation, the anti-tribal face of the state government has come in front of everyone. The 32 percent reservation for Scheduled Tribes in the state has been reduced to 20 percent due to the negligence of the state government in the court. Against which the demonstration of tribal society will continue. In the demonstration, Chhattisgarh Pradesh BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha Vice President MD Thakur, BJP President Jitendra Verma, General Secretary Lalit Chandrakar, Bhilai Scheduled Tribe Morcha President Raju Netam, BJP leaders Santosh Soni, Nitesh Sahu, Gajendra Yadav, Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Jagdish Gupta, Mukesh Belchandan, Dinesh Devangan, Naresh Tejwani, along with BJP workers and people of tribal society participated in large numbers.
