Hockey legend Dhanraj Pillay opens Stemfield Sports Academy, Turf Ground

 

 

Stemfield Sports Academy and Turf Ground was inaugurated in a graceful ceremony at Stemfield International School, Vijaynagar, on Saturday. Chief guest for the function was Dhanraj Pillay Former International Hockey Player (Rajiv Gandhi khel Ratna and Padma Shree Awardee), Vivek Tankha, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu. School Chairperson Madhu Jaiswal presided over the programme.

The Sports Academy was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp and unveiling of the turf ground and Opening of Golden Baby Premier League Football tournament by kicking of the ball by chief guest Dhanraj Pillay along with the match was also introduced as the part of the show.

Dhanraj Pillay encouraged the students for being focused on playing various sports. He explained the benefits of playing sports, how it helps to stay fit both mentally and physically. He further told how this generation youth is deviating themselves to internet based games rather than playing actual indoor and outdoor sports. He requested the students to participate in one or more sports activities.

MP Vivek Thankha also blessed the occasion with his kind words and asked the students to avail these facilities and move ahead to grab the laurels not only for city but also for the nation. Managing Director, Parv Jaiswal addressed the gathering and revealed about his vision and gave the information that 18 outdoor - indoor games are available in Stemfield International Sports Complex and Stemfield International Sports Academy, including 7 side football ground, synthetic grass and shock pads, 200 meters running Treck, Synthetic Cricket Pitch, Lawn Tennis, Long Jump, Treck and Field Event, Archery, Martial Arts, The Indoor Swimming Pool, 10 meters of shooting range. He wanted the students and the youth of Mahakaushal zone should grab this opportunity and stay fit.
