Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was on Sunday evening given a rousing welcome by the Congress workers at Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur after he returned from Himachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Baghel attended the swearing-in-ceremony of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukwhinder Singh Sukhu at Shimla on Sunday. Baghel reached Raipur from Chandigarh on Sunday evening. It may be mentioned that Chief Minister was appointed as All India Congress Committee Senior Observer for Himachal Pradesh.
Youth Congress and NSUI workers in large number gathered at Swami Vivekananda Airport to give a rousing welcome to the Chief Minister. The Congress workers sprinkled flower petals over the Chief Minister. The Congress workers raised slogans in support of Bhupesh Baghel and beat drums.
State Congress Treasurer Ramgopal Agrawal, State Congress Media Chief Sushil Anand Shukla, Raipur District Cooperative Bank Chairman Pankaj Sharma, District Congress Committee (Urban) Raipur President Girish Dubey, Mayor Aijaz Dhebar and other leaders were present. Talking to media persons at Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur, Baghel said, “Chhattisgarh’s schemes were included in the manifesto of Himachal Pradesh Congress that brought positive result in the assembly elections. Leaders from Chhattisgarh campaigned for the Congress party in Himachal Pradesh too. The Congress won the Himachal Pradesh assembly election because of the positive and committed approach of the party leaders and workers and formed its government. Himachal Pradesh is the Devbhoomi and now, the message of the Congress will spread from the Devbhoomi across the country. After Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, now the Congress has formed its government in third state as Sukwhinder Singh Sukhu took the oath as the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.” The Congress will win upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka and there will be a spree of victory across the country for the party in elections including the elections of Chhattisgarh in 2023, he added.
