‘Padma Shri’ Kalpana Saroj will deliver keynote address on ‘Thought to Action’ 
 
Nagpur First is all set to host 9th edition of Global Nagpur Summit 2022 on December 17 and 18 at two different locations. The mega event will start with the social track on December 17, with the social conference on theme ‘Thought to Action’ from 9.30 am in partnership with IIM Nagpur Campus at MIHAN. Dr Bhimraya Metri, Director of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, will deliver inaugural address while ‘Padma Shri’ Kalpana Saroj, Chairperson of Kamani Tubes, Mumbai, will give a keynote address on ‘Thought to Action’.
 
The social track will comprise international speeches, panel discussions, impact stories, NGO showcase, Change Maker Awards to acknowledge the invaluable services and contributions by some individuals, organisations across Vidarbha. Tanveer Mirza, Director of Nagpur First, will chair the track. A special talk on ‘Challenges in Development and CSR Sector’ will be delivered by Dr O P Goel, Head Boost India Foundation. Panel discussion ‘Ensuring Togetherness’ for social sector challenges will feature Chet Jain of Crowdera (USA); Dr Ravindra Thakre, IAS, Additional Tribal Commissioner, Nagpur; Dr Pragati Gokhale, former Scientist, Rajeev Gandhi Mission; Sachin Farfad Patil. Noted mentor Dr Avinash Saoji will moderate the panel discussion.
 
The IT Track will be organised from 9.30 am onwards at Chitnavis Centre on December 18. Dr Rizwan Ahmed (CTO, delaPlex) will be the IT Track Chair for GNS 2022. Keynote will be delivered on ‘Future of Healthcare and Cloud Computing in India’ by Prashant Mishra, Chief Executive Officer and Founder at Click2Cloud Inc., USA. Next keynote will be on “Innovation and IP” by Sumit Prasad, Chief Innovation Officer and Group Manager, Technology and Innovation, at Sagacious IP Electronics Engineer from NIT Silchar. Panel discussion is being organised on “Emerging technologies and its impact on IT services and product companies” which will be moderated by Rupal Shirpurkar, Business Head (Cloud BU–APAC) at Click2Cloud Inc., and panellist will be Dr Abhay Kimmatkar, MD, Ceinsys Tech Ltd, Vishnu Tambi, CEO, Excellon Software and Sumit Prasad, Sagacious IP. As part of the summit, one of the most important tracks Travel & Tourism will be held at Chitnavis Centre on December 18 at 10 am. The speakers at the track are Nilesh Rahate from Pune, Ashok Munn, noted expert for AgroTourism and Pankaj Mahajan. Aditya Dhanwate, a dynamic and expert professional from Wildlife Tourism will be presenting his success story and Anil Agarwala of Tathastu Resorts will share his valuable growth ideas, business prospects etc., during the track. Prashant Sawai, Deputy Director of MTDC will be sharing his views about various Government schemes. Pradeep Maheshwari, will be the Chair for Travel and Tourism Track.
 
The special added feature of this summit this year is Education Track organised in association with LTJSS’ Priyadarshini College of Engineering. The Education Track will be held on December 18, 2022 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Chitnavis Centre. Under this track renowned experts and academicians have been invited to share their knowledge on ‘Globalisation of Education’ and ‘Skilling Ecosystem of Education’. These are the two grey areas for Nagpur education which if taken care of can make Nagpur city a true international hub of education in central India. The keynote address would be delivered by Mrutyunjay Saur, CEO KIITBI, Bhubaneshwar, Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro Chancellor, Symbiosis International University, Pune. The other invited guests are Kerron Vaishnav of Aurangabad, Pratik Gandhi of Mumbai, Pritam Onskar from Pune, Raja Dasgupta from New Delhi and Kinita Schripsema and Nitin Sachdev of Nagpur. Dr Vivek Nanoti, will be the track Chair and Dr Manju Soni, will be track Co-Chair. The invited experts will not only share their knowledge and experience but will also contribute in some or the other way for uplifting Nagpur education to international level.

The Global Nagpur Awards will be announced on December 18 at Persistent Systems Auditorium at 7 pm. The chief guest for the award function will be Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of Forest, Cultural Affairs and Fisheries, Government of Maharashtra and guest of honour will be Anand Sancheti, Managing Director of SMS Group. Awards will be announced in 17 unique categories to the organisations and individuals who have done exceptional work by putting Nagpur on the global map.
