CombineD team of police and district administration demolished illegal construction to free Government land amounting to Rs 3 lakh under the jurisdiction of Hanumantal police station in Rampur area, on Saturday. According to Hanumantal police, listed criminal Kallu alias Himanshu (38), son of Gauri Shankar Kori, a resident of Bhantallaiyya Sati Chowk is booked in total 32 crime cases of murder, attempt to murder, money extortion, theft, Gambling Act etc. Police found that the criminal had illegally constructed a house of Rs 1 lakh by encroaching 150 sqaure feet Government land amounting to Rs 3 lakh near Sati Chowk.

During a special campaign against land mafia, listed criminals and people involved in chit-fund and other fraudulent

activities, District Magistrate, Saurabh Kumar Suman (IAS) and SP Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS) released order for removing encroachment to vacate the Government land. Complying with the direction, a combined team of police, district administration and JMC led by senior police and administrative officers reached the spot and razed illegal construction to evacuate Government land. In order to avoid any agitation, additional police force was deployed during demolition work while SHO, Hanumantal, Umesh Golhani, JMC Zone In-charge, Mahendra Pal Uike and JMC anti-encroachment squad in-charge, Ehsan Khan along with police team were present.
