NARAYANA Vidyalayam boys and Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir Sri Krishna Nagar girls clinched the inter-school basketball titles by defeating their respective rivals in the District Sports Office organised tournament at Nutan Bharat Yuvak Sangh’s courts in Bajaj Nagar. In the U-14 boys final, Narayana Vidyalayam defeated Sanskar Vidya Sagar 31-25. Dheer Agrawal (13), Jayesh Tambe (10) were the main scorers for Narayana Vidyalayam. For Sanskar Vidya Sagar Ghandharva Naik scored 14 points.

 

The quarterwise score was 10-7, 10-10, 5-4, 6-4. MKH Sancheti finished third defeating Saraswati Vidyalaya 31-7. Shreyash Bhosale scored 30 points for the winners. In girls section, BVM Srikrishna Nagar edged past Sanskar Vidya Sagar 12-10. Hemlata Dandekar was the top scorer with six points while Riddhima Sahu scored two for Bhavan’s. For Sanskar Vidya Sagar, Akshara Rokde (8) reduced the margin. In the third place match, BVM Trimurti Nagar beat Saraswati Vidyalaya 12-4.
