The accused promised weekly incentives on invested amount and double the sum in 18 weeks 
 
NANDANVAN Police, on Tuesday, booked 11 persons, including the director of Aimrax Trade Money, for allegedly duping investors of over Rs 17.85 lakh by promising high returns. The accused have been identified as company director Vinod Dadaji Upare (50), a resident of Dwarka Apartment, Khamla; Shailesh Tallar (45), a resident of Manish Nagar, Besa; Purshottam Chachre (30), a resident of Flat No 18, Rambhoomi Society, Old Kamptee Road; Suryakant Kalambe (42), a resident of Ayodhya Nagar, Manewada; Mangala Ambolkar (50), Rishikesh Ambolkar, both residents of Pioneer Society, Ekatmata Nagar, Jaitala; Pramod Dongre, a resident of Navegaon, Kurkheda, District Gadchiroli; Atul Dongre, a resident of Hudkeshwar; Sameer Jain (25), a resident of Pratap Nagar, near Durga Mandir; Mohan Rana (45) and Indu Rana (38), both residents of Pramila Apartment, near Gulmohar Hall, Khamla. A resident of Plot No E-9/22, Vyankatesh Nagar, Nandanvan, Rakesh Maniklal Chouragade (31) lodged a complaint with the police that the accused persons allured him and his relatives to invest in their company by promising to double the amount in 18 weeks.
 
They also promised weekly incentives on invested amount. Accordingly, he and his relatives invested Rs 6.01 lakh in the company. Similarly, the accused also took Rs 11,84,561 from other investors between July 2020 and December 2020. However, they did not give any interest and refused to return the invested amount to him and other investors. On the basis of the complaint, police registered a case under Sections 420, 406, 409, 120(b) of the Indian Penal Code, read with Section 3 of Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors Act, against the accused persons.
