Buddhist community members of Raipur organised a health camp and participated in the Sirpur Mahotsav on occasion of Maghi Purnima on February 16. The health camp was inaugurated by Bhante Arya Nagarjuna Surai Sasai Nagpur. On this occasion the Chief guest, Departmental Inquiry Commissioner Dilip Wasnikar and Engineer Dhamma Pal were present. In his address, the author Dham Pal talked about significance of Maghi Purnima in Buddhist Dhamma tradition. On this day, Tathagata Buddha had called student Anand in the Chapalya Vihar of Vaishali and said that after three months from today, on the day of Vaishakh Purnima, I will have a great parinirvana, today I have my last vision of Vaishali, Ayu Dilip Wasnikar ji said Bhante Anand.
Even today a Mahaparinirvana was announced in Rajgi Ri, in the coming days in April, they are going to distribute 100 Buddha statues free of cost under Buddha Mahasangh, Bhante Surai Sasai Nagpur B Shramner Gagan Malik in the programme of distribution ceremony. Engineer Dhawade Saheb, Gaj Ghate Sahib, Samta Sainik Dal women chief Dr Ratna Pragyatara, Rukhmani Ramteke, Raju Ramteke, SDM Mahasamund, Respected Bhagwat, Jaiswal, announced Buddha Vatika beautification work. In the programme, Rajendra Nayak, President Marar Samaj, Raipur Sanjay Sukhdev, General Manager Industries Srishty Chandrakar, S K Tandon, Shankar Nandeshwar, Dr Arvind Chaudhary, Dr Ayu Anil Jog participated in the programme.
