THE office-bearers of the Yuva Mandal of Shri Gujarati Brahm Samaj were elected unanimously in a meeting held at the Samaj’s Timber Market, Trimurti Nagar-based Daya Bhawan premises on Sunday. Jaideep Dave was elected President of the Yuva Mandal unanimously. As scheduled, the election was held successfully in the presence of the Vice-President of Shri Gujarati Brahm Samaj Hitesh Vyas, Treasurer Hitendra Vyas and the Working Committee members Lokesh Vyas, Manish Pandya and Bhavesh Purohit. After the election, the unanimously elected members of the Yuva Mandal consists of Jaideep Dave as President, Bhavik (Rahul) Vyas and Chirag Pandya – Vice-Presidents, Saurabh Mehta – Secretary, Bhavin Rawal and the Naman Upadhyay is the Treasurer.
 
Similarly, the elected working committee are Arya Upadhyay, Tirth Trivedi, Sagar Dave, Harsh Joshi, Shashank Dave, Dev Pandya, Ankit Dave, Kaushik Trivedi and Abhishek Jani. Talking to The Hitavada, Vice-President of the Yuva Mandal Bhavik (Rahul) Vyas informed that for last three years no election was conducted for electing the Yuva Mandal body. It was a long demand from the younger generation for formation of the Yuva Mandal again which will help in activating the younger generation of th samaj. The Samaj’s Yuva Mandal was popular for organising Shivratri festival and the 9-day Navaratri festival successfully.
 
It was during this nine-days during the year, all members enthusiastically joined the Navratri festivity and the much awaited ‘Ras-Garba’ celebrations, he added. He further informed that for last three years, the celebration of these two festivities was undertaken by the main body of Shri Gujarati Brahm Samaj, which is the parent body. Besides, the Yuva Mandal also played active role in all activities and programme of the samaj organised round the year, he stated. The Shivratri festival to be celebrated at Daya Bhawan premises of the Samaj on March 1 will start with Abhishek rituals from 10 am followed with Prasad distribution. Later, Sundarkand Path discourse will be in the evening followed with Aarti, the V-P added.
