Central Railway will operate a special infrastructure block between Thane and Diva for ‘cut and connection’ works and commissioning of new RRI building in Diva in connection with Thane-Diva fifth and sixth lines. Due to this block, Nagpur-Mumbai Sewagram Express train on February 4 has been cancelled.
The block will be operated on existing fifth line and sixth line between Thane and Diva from 00.00 hrs of February 5 (Saturday/Sunday midnight 12 am) to 24.00 hrs of February 7 (Monday/Tuesday
midnight 12 am), that is, for 72 hours. Also, the block will be operated on existing Up fast line from 00.00 hrs (midnight 12 am) of February 5 to 4 am of February 6, that is, for 28 hours. Due to the block, 12140 Nagpur-Mumbai Sewagram Express journey commencing on February 4 and February 5, and also 12139 Mumbai-Nagpur Sewagram Express journey commencing on February 5 and February 6 have been cancelled. The Up Mail/Express trains departing from Kalyan after 11.10 pm on February 4 (Friday/ Saturday night) onwards till completion of Up fast line block -- 4 am on February 6 -- will be diverted on Up slow line from Kalyan to Mulund stations and Mail/Express trains during this period will not halt at Thane station. Railway authorities have appealed to passengers to bear with the Railway administration for the inconvenience caused due to this block, stated a press release.
