Golden Club defeats Young Star, lifts Mantri Cricket Trophy in Khurai

 

 

 

final match of ‘Mantri Cricket Trophy’ tournament was played at Maulthaun between Golden Cricket Club, Barodiyakalan and Young Star Bandri team and Golden Cricket Club clinched the trophy. The prize distribution function was held in the gracious presence of Organiser of this tournament and Minister Bhupendra Singh. Member of Parliament Rajbahadur Singh and two international cricket player Mohit Sharma and Naman Ojha. Cricketers Mohit Sharma and Naman Ojha presented a cash award of Rs 1 lakh and trophy to winning team Golden Cricket Club. Runners-up team Young Star from Bandri was presented cash award of Rs 51,000. The semi final match winner Mahuba Jaat and Tagore ward, Khurai team were presented consolation award. The Man-of-the-match award was presented to Ravi Thakur Mahi, best bowler award was presented to Deepak Tiwari. Best batsman award was presented to Nitin Thakur and Man-of-the Series player award was presented to Gajendra Thakur. Prior to it, Minister Bhupendra Singh welcomed the visiting cricket players Mohit Sharma and Naman Ojha.

 

He said that big cricket tournament are held in very less places in state. The final match was graced by two international players and this was big motivation for the participants teams. He appreciated Lakhan Singh and his team for bringing this tournament to this big scale. Minister Singh said that since he has been winning election from this seat, he is regularly making efforts that youngsters should get good atmosphere for sports along with educations. Hence he is keen on developing sports facilities including infrastructure like playground in the area. He assured that by next year stadium would be developed in Maulthaun.

 

The red soil would be removed and black soil would be filled and greenery would be developed. In coming years, stadium would be developed in Bandri, Ranhwaas, BarodiyaKaalna and he is aiming that each village of Khurai assembly segment has playground. In final match, Tournament Convenor Lakhan Singh Bamora, Abhiraaj Singh, son of Minister Singh and hundreds of spectatcors were present.
