Directorate of Weed Research organises workshop under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav

 

 

 

A Two-day workshop under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and Raajbhasha’ commenced at Directorate of Weed Research on Wednesday. Around 65 participants attended the workshop which was jointly organised by Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) and Directorate for Hindi officers working in Western and Central Region. Professor Kapil Deo Mishra, Vice Chancellor, Rani Durgavati University was invited as chief guest. Other guests Seema Chopra, Director, Rajbhasha, Directorate of Weed Research, Dr P K Singh and Basant Mishra. Director, Dr J S Mishra, Director of Directorate along with the chief guest commenced the programme with lighting traditional lamps and worshiping Goddess Saraswati.

 

Vice-chancellor, Professor Mishra said that Hindi has always been a gentle language used for conversation and praised the efforts of scientists and officers of Research Institution for promoting Hindi language while performing their official works. Director, Dr J S Mishra informed that Hindi has influenced the entire world with its unique style. At present time many countries have started institutions only to teach Hindi language to the youths. Rajbhasha Director, Chopra explained about different activities being conducted under Rajbhasha programmes at different organisation and DWR headquarters. Dr P K Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
