Persistent Systems Limited will soon start operations in the MIHAN SEZ area. Chairman and Managing Director of the software firm Anand Deshpande said here on Saturday that construction work on the 13 acres piece of land in the Mihan SEZ area will start within two months and it is likely to be over in the next 18 months. Persistent Systems, the Pune headquartered company, said that its Mihan SEZ facility will be its biggest facility. The company has a presence in more than 50 countries. While interacting with the media persons during the ‘meet the press’ held at Press Club, Deshpande further highlighted various welfare initiatives of the company.
He said that a not-for-profit organisation founded by him - deAsra is aggressively engaged in transforming job seekers into job creators. In order to provide more jobs, Dr Deshpande and his wife, Sonali, established the organisation in 2015 which is enabling people to start, manage and grow a small business successfully. “We offer a platform wherein, setting up, managing and growing a small business is made simple and entrepreneur friendly through a broad array of support services. Each of our services is simplified, benchmarked, tech-enabled, expert-led, with customer-friendly functionality, convenience and speed,” he said.
