Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi auditorium of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC) at it’s new campus in Bisankhedi on Friday. There was also inaugural ceremony of ‘Chitra Bharati Film Festival 2022 (CBFF-2022)’ of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna where eminent film actor Akshay Kumar was present. It was the fourth edition of three-day festival that began on Friday.

Culture and Tourism Minister Usha Thakur, President of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna Professor B K Kuthiala, Vice Chancellor of MCU Professor K G Suresh and chairman of organising committee Dilip Suryavanshi were also present during the programme.

B K Kuthiala told mediapersons that the three-day film festival will conclude on March 27 at Ravindra Convention Centre. Union Minister of State, Information and Broadcasting, Loganathan Murugan will attend the closing ceremony as chief guest.Actor and Vice Chancellor of Pandit Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, Haryana, Gajendra Chauhan, film directors Abhinav Kashyap and Vivek Agnihotri have also given their consent to attend the fest. A master class is being organised on all three days of the fest. Film directors T S Nagabharana (Kannada) and Subhash Sahu (Oriya) and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (Hindi) were there to take a master class on inaugural day. Master class of Marathi film director Professor Vaman Kendre, Sharat Sharat Bhattatiripad and film critic Anant Vijay, voice artist Harish Bhimani will be held on March 26 and 27. It will be followed by the Open Forum of film director Abhinav Kashyap.
