IN ITS continuous endeavour to provide its customers with new and faster ways to select and purchase its quality cement, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL) has launched its innovative consumer app -- Dalmia Unload -- at Nagpur on Thursday.
Present at the launching ceremony were Hakimuddin Ali, Executive Director, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, Rajesh Khanna, Sales Manager, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, Alka Tiwari, Sr Marketing Manager and other leading architects and engineers.
“Our app was developed to appeal to our current as well as future customers purchasing Dalmia cement. The innovativeness of this offering reflects our strengthened resolve towards accelerating digital transformation across the organisation as we continue to see a rise in demand for our world-class products range and stellar customer service,” said Hakimuddin Ali

Ali further said, “We are confident that this dynamic app will enable our buyer community to quickly and easily select products with minimum time and effort. Moreover, we see our direct to home delivery mechanism enhancing the customer experience, through features like scheduling, staggered scheduling for big orders, free technical van and many such customer friendly services.”
Through the launch of this direct to consumer app, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited has shifted its product strategy to fit the evolving behaviour of its buyers. Customer will now be able to directly connect with Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited and receive better deals, faster delivery and maximum discounts. The app also ensures efficient and seamless delivery with its ‘Direct to Home’ feature, he added.
The app is available for free download on devices with Android and IOS platforms and boasts a number of dynamic features designed to support Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited’s customers across India. Customers can simply book orders and time they want the delivery. It will be delivered as per the schedule. There is easy payment process and customers will get discounts of up to Rs 15 per bag depending on the quantity ordered.
A minimum 10 bags can be ordered. There is total transparency in pricing. If the cement rates drop or increase at the time of delivery, then the customer will get benefited and pay only the lower rate. The excess amount paid will be refunded. The service will be available in all the 33 pin codes of Nagpur, he said.
Ali further said that Dalmia Cement is the first cement company in the country to launch such an initiative. The new concept is a pilot project launched in Nagpur. If successful the concept will be introduced across Maharashta.
