Sensation prevailed in Sheetlamai area when miscreants created ruckus and lobbed country-made bombs at a house over an old rivalry under the jurisdiction of Ghamapur police station in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Taking prompt action on the information, police reached the spot and raided the residence of miscreants in Kuchbandhiya Mohalla and seized 100-litres illegal stock of country-made liquor.
According to Ghamapur police, Abha Patel (32), a resident of Sheetlamai informed the cops that she and her brother Ashish, both were farmers. Around 2-3 months back, Babil Kuchbandhiya lobbed country-made bomb at her house and members of Kuchbandhiya community had a long standing dispute with her family. She was working at kitchen when Pawan Kuchbandhiya, Sandeep Bhausvar, Tushar Kuchbandhiya and others arrived and started abusing her brother Ashish Patel. Miscreants pelted stones on her house and she sustained injury on her leg.
A car belonging to Ritesh (MP 20 CE 8413) parked near her house was damaged in the stone pelting and Sandeep Bhausvar lobbed a country-made bomb in front of her house and threatened to life.
On the other hand, Pawan Kuchbandhiya (30), resident of Kuchbandhiya Mohalla was admitted at District Hospital who informed that he was working as a labourer and was on his way towards Ghamapur. He was passing through
Sheetlamai area when Gudhi Maharaj and Ashish Patel stopped his motorcycle and demanded 2-litres liquor and cash of Rs. 1,000. He refused them for giving anything when the miscreants started abusing him on the base of his caste and attacked him with cane.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Kuchbandhiya, Amit Kuchbandhiya and others tried to protect him when miscreants threatened them to life and escaped from the spot.
On the complaint of Abha Patel, Ghamapur police have registered a case under Sections 294, 323, 336, 506, 427 and 34 of IPC and Sections 3, 5 of Explosive Act while another case under Sections 294, 327, 341, 506 and 34 of IPC and Sections 3(1)(D), 3(1)(G) and 3(2)(5) of SC/ST Act was registered on the complaint of Pawan Kuchbandhiya.
