Before committing suicide on March 15, Nikita Chaudhary had searched methods of suicide and impact of diesel on human body in Google search engine. The information came to fore in Cyber forensic analysis of her mobile phone that was seized from the spot, police said.
A police official privy to the investigation said that Nikita (23) had been planning the suicide for
well over 24 hours. “How to
commit suicide? Does diesel burn the human body? How to get diesel in a bottle?” -- these were some of the google searches Nikita did on her smartphone.
The police initially suspected foul play in the death case but the Google search history underlined the
reason that she was traumatised and depressed that perhaps prompted her to commit suicide. Charred body of Nikita was found at Suraburdi on March 16. The investigators have recovered CCTV footage from more than 15 places between Sitabuldi and Suraburdi of March 15 revealed that the lady was alone when she headed to the deserted spot.
 
She bought scarf from Sitabuldi
Before boarding an auto-rickshaw, she had purchased a scarf for Rs 100 from Sitabuldi area and the transaction was done on-line, police probe further revealed. “She might be under dilemma to select the method of suicide and that’s why Nikita also purchased the scarf even as she carried diesel bottle in her hand bag,” said an official. She got the diesel from a friend under the guise of cooking.
Rahul Manohar Bangare (24), a resident of Sant Tukdoji Nagar, was arrested last month on charges of abetment to suicide of Nikita. He was accused of torturing her physically and mentally. The arrest was made by the police on the basis of some WhatsApp messages between Nikita and Bangare. She was being harassed mentally and physically by Bangare after she started hiding her mobil
