S S Adkar, District and Session Judge-1, on Tuesday, awarded three months’ imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000 to Dr Anil Bonde, former Agriculture Minister and General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Morcha, in Naib Tehsildar assault case.
The incident took place on September 30, 2016, at Warud Tehsil Office. Dr Anil Bonde was Morshi MLA. Bonde was granted bail by the court.
As per prosecution, Dr Anil Bonde had gone to Warud Tehsil Office on September 30, 2016. He called Nandkishor Wasudev Kale, Naib Tehsildar (EGS), in Tehsildar’s cabin.

Gandhi Niradhar Yojana. He assaulted Kale and also threatened him in front of Bansare, Talathi, and Sahare, Naib Tehsildar (Revenue).
Warud Police had registered an offence against Dr Anil Bonde under sections 353, 332, 504 and 506 of IPC ad co-section 3 of Public Property Damage Prohibition Act 1982 on the complaint lodged by Nandkishor Kale. Vijay Shingade, Assistant Police Inspector, after investigating the case, filed the charge sheet it the court on May 11, 2017.
S S Adkar, District and Session Judge-1, after cross examining the witnesses, sentenced 3 months of imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 to Dr Anil Bonde for finding him guilty under section 332 and section 504 of the IPC. Judge also sentenced one year of additional imprisonment if he failed to deposit the fine. Adv Milind Joshi was the public prosecutor.
Dr Anil Bonde was later granted bail. Dr Anil Bonde said that he will challenge the decision in the High Court.
