Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the State Government is working for welfare of the poor and hence target is to make life better for the poor. He expressed these views during public dedication of the Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at Katni. This ROB has been constructed with cost of Rs 85 crores and is the highest ROB in the State This function was graced by MP V D Sharma, PWD Minister Gopal Bhargava, District Incharge Minister Jagdish Devda, MLA Sandeep Jaiswal, MLA Sanjay Satyendra Pathak, former minister Moti Kashyap, Collector Priyank Mishra and other dignitaries.
The Chief Minister called upon locals to render their contribution in making Katni city clean and beautiful. He urged people to become aware and then even Katni would be clean and beautiful like Indore. He assured that demands raised by local MLA Sandeep Jaiswal would be fulfilled.
MP VD Sharma expressed happiness on construction of this ROB which would get end problem of traffic jam in Katni city.
PWD Minister Gopal Bhargava said that this day was a memorable day as many developmental works were inaugurated in the city. He said that construction of over bridge within city is a difficult task but this ROB was constructed within record time and all technical norms were followed. This 1.5 km long bridge as 2.5 km long approach road.
MLA Sandeep Jaiswal informed that Girls’ College building has been completed and very soon, its public dedication would be done. He raised many demands before the Chief Minister including renewal of Forestor Playground, allocation of land to businessmen in Transport Nagar, shifting of District Transport office from Katni Toll Naka and others.
