Nautapa, the nine days of scorching heat will start on May 25 and will conclude on June 2. Since the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted early monsoon this year, the question for common people now is whether Nautapa will be milder this time.
Many almanacs have predicted early monsoon this year despite the Nautapa. In astrology, Jupiter, Moon, Venus and Mercury are considered as watery planets. These are good planets and if they are positioned near Sun, then it is possible to get early monsoon. This year, these planets are positioned near Sun, therefore, chances of early monsoon are strong, panchangs have stated.
The beginning of Nautapa starts from Rohini region and lasts for 9 days. From May 25 to June 2 this year, the effect of Nautapa can be seen. Strong wind, rains and tornado conditions are created in Nautapa.
According to scientific belief, “In Nautapa, the direct rays of the sun fall on the earth, and the atmosphere becomes hot, which creates a situation of storms, outbreak of heat in most parts of the country increases, dust storms and severe heat disrupts life.”
“In view of the current position of the planets, there is a possibility of divine calamities in the Eastern, Western and Southern parts of the country. According to the belief of astrology, such a position of the Sun is inauspicious,” mentioned some almanacs.
According to some Panchangs, “Every year, Nautapa begins with the summer season of Jyeshtha month. This time, Nautapa is starting from May 25. According to Hindu beliefs, Nautapa begins when Lord Sun enters Rohini Nakshatra. Sun stays in Rohini Nakshatra for 15 days. In such a situation, during the first nine days, there is maximum heat. The Sun will enter Rohini Nakshatra on May 25 at 2.50 pm. After this, there will be nine days of Nautapa. Along with this, the Sun will remain in Rohini Nakshatra for 6.40 am on June 8.”
It is believed that due to the heat of the sun and the water element of Rohini, it becomes the pregnancy of monsoon and that is why Nautapa is considered as the pregnancy period of monsoon. In such a situation, when the Sun is in Rohini Nakshatra, the Moon travels in nine Nakshatras.
“Sun had entered in Vrishabh rashi on May 15. It had conjugated with Mercury. Venus and Jupiter which are positioned in Meena rashi. These planetary positions have made very strong chances of early monsoon”, panchangs stated.
