Yash, Rishika among best

 

 

 

YASH Gulhane and Rishika Bodele were among the best swimmers of the Khasdar Krida Mohotsav that concluded at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Udyaan in North Nagpur.

While Yash and Rishika took honours in the Above-17 age category for boys and girls respectively, other swimmers who were adjudged best in different categories are as under — Amit Saoji, Shruti Gandhi (Above-35); Aryan Jaiswal, Prisha Kalmegh (Under-17); Siddharth Sangha, Aditri Payasi (Under-14); Aaradhya Malpade, Saroj Dhawade (Under-11); Yatharth Sangrame (Under-9).

As many as 96 events were held in all with the total prize money in cash being rupees two lakh and ten thousand shared among the top three finishers in all the categories.

For the first time in KKM, swimmers from Wardha, Bhandara, Chandrapur and Gondia also took part in the event.

At the outset, the event was inaugurated at the hands of Raje Sangramsingh Bhonsale. Ex-MLA Dr Milind Mane, Corporator Mahendra Dhanvijay, Vijay Munishwar, Sanjay Choudhari, Ganesh Kantode and others were present. Dr Jaiprakash Duble made introductory remarks while Dr Sambhaji Bhonsale conducted the proceedings. Arun Kapure proposed a vote of thanks. Technical aspect of the tournament was well handled by officials from the Nagpur District Amateur Swimming Association.
