Pre-Monsoon showers provided much needed relief from scorching heat to citizens in Bhopal. IMD Bhopal has forecast rain and thunderstorms at several places in the State.
Maximum temperature declined by 3 to 4 points in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh. Day temperature is below 40 degree in most of the cities. Bhopal recorded day temperature of 38 degree Celsius but pre-monsoon showers provided relief to people during evening hours.
In the past 24 hours Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa, Sagar and Shahdol divisions recorded rainfall at various places.
Besides, there was drizzling in Jabalpur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Narmadapuram divisions at some places. Weather remained dry in Indore. Highest day temperature was recorded as 42 degree Celsius in Sidhi. For May 25, weather department has forecast rainfall in Rewa, Sagar, Gwalior, Shahdol, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Betul, Dewas, Bhind and Morena. There will be no major changes in temperature across state for May 26 and 27. On May 25, Bhopal would have maximum temperature as 38 degree Celsius and minimum temperature as 23 degree Celsius. Bhopal recorded maximum temperature as 38.5 degree Celsius and minimum temperature as 19.5 degree Celsius. Indore recorded maximum temperature as 37.6 degree Celsius and minimum temperature as 19.5 degree Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature as 36.3 degree Celsius and 21.5 degree Celsius. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature as 37.2 degree Celsius and minimum as 21.5 degree Celsius.
Weather department said that Monsoon will be arriving in Madhya Pradesh from June 13 to 15. This year Indore-Ujjain, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Chambal and Jabalpur will be receiving good rainfall. Weather department said that a cyclone has been formed in Bay of Bengal due to which Monsoon is becoming active. Andaman and Nicobar has received Monsoon before time. Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea is also receiving moisturized air.
