Reservation process for the forthcoming Panchayat elections was successfully completed for 7 Janpad Panchayat Presidents and 17 Gram Panchayat Members in Jabalpur district, on Wednesday.
Reservation process was carried out under the supervision of Assistant District Election Officer and Additional Collector, Namah Shivay Arjaria. Process was conducted at Collectorate and eight other places in the district.
According to the reservations, Janpad Panchayat Shahpura was reserved for Scheduled Caste Woman, Janpad Panchayat Patan reserved for Scheduled Tribe Woman, Janpad Panchayat Kundam reserved for Schedule Tribe, Janpad Panchayat Sihora free from reservation, Janpad Panchayat Majholi reserved for
unreserved women, Janpad Panchayat Jabalpur unreserved women and Janpad Panchayat Panagar is unreserved seat. Similarly, in the reservation process of total 17 Gram Panchayat Members two wards reserved for SC include Ward Number-12 and No-17 is unreserved, total 5 wards reserved for Schedule Caste include No-1, 2, 8 for women while no-7 and 11 are unreserved. One ward reserved for OBC number-6 women. Nine wards are unreserved include 3, 13, 14, 15, women wards and 4, 5, 9, 10 and 16 are unreserved. Besides this, reservation for one ward of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation was carried out for OBC as Ward Number-51
