THE duo of Suraj Shriwas and Radhika Dhurve emerged as fastest runners in Khasdar Krida Mahotsav’s multi-sport events for divyang players at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education.
In the 100m dash, Suraj was followed by Sahil Tembhe and Rejoy Tadekar in the boys group while Radhika finished ahead of Samiksha Banarase and Chanchal Madke in girls category. As many as 250 deaf and dumb players took part in the event.
The three-day event for the specially-abled players was inaugurated by Kishor Bhoyar and Principal Sharda Naidu in presence of Usha Pallet, Gurudas Raut, Umesh Warjukar, Piyush Ambulkar, Ashfaque Shaikh, Samarth, Parag Pathak, Sudhir Abhyankar, Vivek Awsare, Sachin Mathne, Dhananjay Upasani and others.

Marathon: Girls — Nidhi Tarare, Dipali Gokhe, Sayyaba Ansari. Boys — Ritik Sohware, Shubham Sawant, Murtuza Ansari.
Discus throw: Girls — Mansavi Lakde, Kamini Pragat, Gayatri Durugwar. Boys — Bhajandas Bharadiya, Pravin Gawande, Rashid Ansari.
Carrom: Girls — Preeti Bhad, Radhika Dhurve. Boys — Arnav Meshram, Bhupesh Chandekar.
Cricket: Shankar Nagar Vidyalaya beat Kalyan Mookbadhir Vidyalaya by ten wickets to win title. Sachin Patle was declared man of the match as well as best batsman.
Ashish Gupta walked away with man of the series and best bowler awards. Vinay Mahurle was adjudged as best wicketkeeper.
