AMMA Football Club emerged champions in women’s football tournament of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav that concluded on Thursday.

In the all important summit clash, Amma eves blanked Nagpur Gymkhana 2-0. Roshni Khobragade (30th) scored the opening goal while Sneha Uikey’s 40th minute strike sealed the deal for Amma.

The winners took home Rs 21000 cash and a trophy while the runners-up pocketed Rs 15000 cash prize and a trophy.

Amma’s Muskan Upadhyaya, who was best player of final, best goalkeeper Ratna Bhalavi, best defender Stanzin Tsoma, best player of runners-up Sweety Singh, best defender Akansha Shelar all won a purse of Rs 2500. NKM girls pipped SNG 29-27 in semi-final of KKM’s Inter-Club Sub-Junior Basketball Championship.

With Sparshika Gat (13) and Mitali Kohale (12) gelling well, NKM defeated SNG (Kanishka Mande 11, Rishika Dhawal 6) 29-27 (8-2, 6-6, 4-12, 11-7). DKM (Nandini Chandak 14, Aditi Damke 5) bt GKM (Archana Rokde 5, Palak Panchbudhe 4) 28-25 (4-2, 4-9, 12-8, 8-6).

In boys semis, NASA (Siddhesh 20, Naman 18) bt UBA (Dipender 10) 73-34 (9-13, 22-6, 15-11, 27-4) and GKM (Tejas 22, Dewansh Nimkar 12) bt Phoenix (Nivid Giri 11) 48-33 (10-10, 14-8, 11-7, 13-8).
