West Central Railway, General Manager, Sudhir Kumar Gupta and Additional GM, Shobhan Choudhary were accorded a rousing welcome on their arrival with five shields of the 67th National Rail Award 2022. The senior officers returned after receiving the shields from Bhubaneshwar.
Heads of all departments along with Railway employees welcomed the senior officers with garlands and distributed sweets for prestigious achievements of WCR. GM, Sudhir Kumar Gupta and AGM, Shobhan Choudhary accompanied by other senior officers displayed the winning shields including Overall Efficiency Shield on dais at garden situated at WCR Headquarters to showcase the achievement of WCR and its entire team.
Speaking on the occasion, GM, Sudhir Kumar Gupta said that winning Overall Efficiency Shield amongst 17 zones is a prestigious achievement. He congratulated the officers and employees of Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota divisions as it could not be possible without contribution of every officer and employees. He hoped that they will continue the progress by working with team spirit to achieve new milestones for WCR.
It may be noted that Rail Minister conferred the awards along with Pandit Govind Vallabh Pant Shield for overall efficiency to GM, Sudhir Kumar Gupta and AGM, Shobhan Choudhary. Besides this,
Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, RS Saxena received Rolling Stock Shield, Principal Chief Medical Director, Dr. HK Shrivastava received Health Maintenance Shield, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, SK Albela received Personnel Management Shield and Principal Chief Store Manager, DC Ahirwar received Sales Management Shield. Similarly, Kota Division’s Senior Divisional Operation Manager, Tushar Saraswat and five employees include Senior Running Accounts Officer, Premkumar Nirala, Central Hospital Jabalpur, Chief Nursing Superintendent, Varnika Hendrics, Koda Division’s Technician, Darshana Mahawar, Bhopal Division’s Technician, Mukesh Singh Mahaur were given individual prizes.
