The State Government has suspended three forest officials including Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Surajpur, the then Sub Divisional Officer (Forest) Surajpur forest division Budhsai Bhagat and Ranger of Ghui Range S Sanskriti Barle for negligence in construction of Gothan under Avarti Charai Yojana.
The villagers made complaints to Chief Minister Baghel during the Bhent Mulakat at Govindpur village in Surajpur district on Friday that the officers committed irregularities in construction of Gothan. After the complaints, Chief Minister Baghel ordered suspension of the responsible officers. After the Chief Minister announced suspension, the people started clapping and some people in the crowd kept saying it was fun.
After the order of Chief Minister Baghel, Joint Secretary of Forest and Climate Change Department, Government of Chhattisgarh Devendra Singh Bhardwaj issued the suspension orders of Surajpur DFO and 2015 batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Manish Kashyap and the then SDO Budhsai Bhagat, who was
posted as Superintendent of Semarsot Sanctuary Balrampur. Manish Kashyap has been attached during the suspension period to the office of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Aranya Bhawan. Budhsai Bhagat has been attached during the suspension period at the office of Chief Conservator of Forest Surguja Circle.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Rakesh Chaturvedi has issued the suspension order of Ranger S Sanskriti Barle. These three officers will be entitled to get sustenance allowance during the suspension period.
