InfoCepts — a Data & Analytics IT MNC, in association with Orange City Runners (OCR) recently organised an Awareness Run highlighting the message “No Tobacco”.
The run was held from St Ursula School ground, Civil Lines.
In order to sensitise the society about the ills of tobacco, the awareness run was organised which saw than 500 runners participating in under-3 kms, 5 kms and 10 kms.
Runners from four to 75+ years participated with lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
Dr B Radhakrishnan, NMC Commissioner, flagged off the run. He demonstrated his support to the Anti-Tobacco campaign by running the 10 kms track. Prominent runners along with him were Shashank Garg, Founder-Director, InfoCepts, Amit Panchmatiya, Dineshji Garg, Deepak Godhani and Dr Anil Jawahirani. Many other fitness, athletics and sports enthusiasts participated in various categories.
Jetane Gopwani, welcomed the runners on behalf of InfoCepts and OCR. Micah Aiyub, Head CSR, InfoCepts anchored the event with his unique style of encouraging and boosting the spirits of the runners.
Before the runs, warm-up exercises were conducted by Monika Thawrani.
Youth from various fitness academies, sports institutions and those with running passion made the event a success.
A talk on “Ills of Tobacco” by renowned Cardiologist of the city Dr Aziz Khan was also conducted.
Dr Anil Jawahirani also addressed the gathering Dr Bhoyar, Paediatric surgeon, asked parents to lead a healthy lifestyle.
InfoCepts Admin team led by Sunil Narware, Abhishek Gijare, Akash Motikar, Rahul Rajankar, Praful Agarkar, Aparna Prabhudesai and others worked hard for the success.
