The MSME Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) in collaboration with Vidarbha Dall Millers Association and LITAA conducted a seminar on ‘Emerging Food Processing Prospects for Dall Miller’s In Vidarbh’ recently. The resource person was Dinesh Garg from Leelaram Enterprises, Delhi.
Garg said that value added products under MSME sector can be a profitable option than the basic products.
“Food products which are value added with basic ingredients are in huge demand, ready to cook meals are being adopted and a good forward integration of supply chain / value chain can be created. Another segment where ample opportunities are available is cattle feed and protein powder. Protein powder is in huge demand in the health care and sports industry,” he said.
He also shared technical details of such a project in which existing dall mills can expand their businesses for value added products.
CA Girish Deodhar and CA Yashwant Bhojwani shared the insight of schemes and subsidies of state and central Governments and how dall mills of Vidarbha can avail the benefits for new projects and expansion in existing projects.
Earlier Rajendra Shrama, Secretary of Vidarbha Dall Millers Association gave the introduction of guest speaker. Utkarsh Khopkar – Secretary, LITAA, appreciated the information and insights shared by the guest speaker.
Former President Suresh Bhojwani in his concluding remarks appealed to the mill owners to take advantage of Garg’s presentation.
