After the success of previous three editions, KA Connects under its brand Adventures and You and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) are jointly organising the fourth edition of Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon to be held at Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh on August 7, 2022.
Addressing a press conference at Sports Journalists Association of Nagpur (SJAN) Office in Vivekanand Nagar Mitesh Rambhia, the brain behind organising the marathon said that from this year 42 kms marathon has also been introduced.
“Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon is rated as one of the most picturesque and beautiful marathon of India. This year the organisers have introduced 42kms full which will be the most enduring and difficult marathon with an uphill run and an elevation gain of apporx 1000 metres,” informed Rambhia.
“The full marathon will be the ultimate test of endurance, stamina and training of the participants,” he added.
The marathon this year will be held in four different categories: 5kms family fun run (5years and above); 10kms endurance run (15years and above); 21kms Pachmarhi
half marathon (18years and above) and 42kms Pachmarhi Hill full marathon (18 years and above).
“There will be no cash awards but trophies and surprise prizes will be given to the top Three positions in 5kms (5-10 yrs, 10+ -18 yrs (Juniors), 18+-45 yrs (Seniors), 45+ yrs and above. Veterans) in men and women. 10kms: 15+-30 yrs (Juniors), 30+-45 yrs (Seniors), 45+ yrs and above (Veterans) in men and women. 21kms: 18+-30 yrs (Juniors), 30+-45 yrs (Seniors), 45+ yrs and above (Veterans) in men and women. 42kms: 18+-30yrs (Juniors), 30+-45yrs (seniors), 45+ yrs and above (Veterans) in men and women,” informed Rambhia.
All runs are timed runs and participants will get a timing chip, Timing certificate, Dri-Fit marathon t-shirts, finishers medal.
The top three finishers in men and women in all age categories will be given trophies and free stay vouchers to all winners of 10km, 21km and 42km from Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. Only first 1000 entries will be entitled to participate in the runs.
“Till now we have received 500 confirmed entries. The last date of entry is July 25.

The organisers will be giving free entry to personnel from Armed Forces, Civil Defence, Police Department and Home Guards.
This year’s winners from all categories will get free entry to Nagpur Marathon which will be held in the month of November.
The full marathon will begin at 3 am on August 7 from Matkauli, informed Rambhia.
