For Three-tier Panchayat elections in Bhopal district, polling will be held from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturday, June 25 at 266 polling stations in Phanda development block and at 309 polling stations in Berasia development block. The result of the election will be declared on July 14. All arrangements have been made for the voting to be held on Saturday.
From 7 am on Friday, the polling teams of Phanda development block left for the polling stations after receiving the voting material from the Model School. The polling teams of Berasia development block left with material from Government Thakur Lal Singh School. The total number of polling stations in the district including Phanda and Berasia development blocks is 575 and 115 polling stations have been set up additionally. Thus a total of 690 polling stations have been set up in the district. Maximum two ballot boxes have been provided at each polling station. Additionally, 1,600 large ballot boxes are also available.
Voting in 50 district wards and 222 gram panchayats including 10 District Panchayats: For the three-tier Panchayat elections to be held on Saturday in Bhopal district, apart from 10 wards of Zilla Panchayat in the district, 25 wards of Phanda Janpad Panchayat and Berasia Janpad Panchayat, as well as 96 Gram Panchayats of Phanda and 126 villages in Berasia Janpad Panchayat. Voting will be held for Panchayats. In this way the election process will be completed in 50 Janpad Panchayat wards and 222 Gram Panchayats in Bhopal district.
Eight very sensitive polling stations in Phanda and 13 in Berasia: In the district, 243 general, 15 sensitive, 8 very sensitive polling stations have been identified in Phanda Janpad Panchayat, while 205 general, 91 sensitive and 13 very sensitive polling stations have been identified in Janpad Panchayat Berasia. Thus 575 polling stations have been set up in the district. Voting will be done by four colour ballot paper: The colours of the ballot papers are fixed for the three-tier Panchayat elections. There will be white ballot paper for the post of Panch, blue for Sarpanch, yellow for Janpad Panchayat member and pink colour for Zila Panchayat member. Voting in Panchayat elections will be conducted through ballot paper and ballot boxes.
A large number of voters to exercise their franchise: The total number of voters in Phanda Janpad Panchayat is 1,59,587, in which male voters are 83,127, female voters 76,456 and other voters are 4.
Similarly, in Janpad Panchayat Berasia, the total voters are 1,65,519, in which female voters are 78,683, male voters are 66,834 and 2 other voters will use their franchise.
