Noose on Revenue Department to be tightened: Baghel

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the noose on the Revenue department would be tightened by the
State Government in order to resolve the grievances of people at the earliest.
Talking to media persons at Kunkuri in Jashpur district on Sunday, Baghel said that during his ‘Bhent Mulaqat’ programme, complaints related to the Revenue Department are being received and where there is a discrepancy, it will be corrected.
Chief Minister Baghel said that Chhattisgarh was earlier known as ‘Naxalgarh’. The Congress government in Chhattisgarh has tried to change the identity of Chhattisgarh through its welfare works and decisions. Forest rights lease is being given to the needy people. Millet Mission is being promoted. Roads are being built to address the problems of the people and for better movement. The Forest Department has been instructed to plant fruit trees. There should be water facilities for wild animals also, in this direction the Narva programme will be beneficial, he added.
Baghel said that continuous efforts are being made to generate employment for the people of State. People in Chhattisgarh are getting the benefit of half tariff of electricity Scheme, he added.
Chief Minister Baghel said that it is good that the Central government has extended the time for levy of GST compensation cess by nearly 4 years till March 31, 2026. But the Central government should announce to pay GST compensation soon, he added. Baghel also criticised the Central Government over the ‘Agnipath’ scheme.
Asked on the establishment of industries in Jashpur district, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the local people will have to take a decision for the industry. The Chief Minister also took a meeting of district level officers regarding the works of Kunkuri assembly constituency. During the meeting, schemes and programmes were reviewed.
The Chief Minister said that no person should cause unnecessary trouble.
Chief Minister Baghel on Sunday inaugurated and performed bhoomipujan of 78 works worth Rs 82,09,63,000 in Kunkuri assembly constituency. 36 works worth Rs 51,09,65,000 were inaugurated and bhoomipujan was performed for 42 works worth Rs 30,99,98,000.
Kunkuri MLA U D Minj, MLA Rampukar Singh, Secretary Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Jashur Collector Ritesh Kumar Agrawal and other officials were present.
