Not resources but skill is must for self-employment: Governor

Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that it is necessary to have knowledge, skill, morale and self-confidence for self-employment. Referring to the successful entrepreneurs of the country, he said that all of them started from a very small scale. Huge successes have been achieved through hard work and self-confidence. Governor exhorted the youth not to wait for jobs and establish self-employment through acquired skills.
Governor Patel was addressing the participants at the concluding programme of Rural Tribal Technical Training by the Sandsadiya Sankul Yojana at Sandipani Auditorium in Raj Bhavan while distributing certificates. Training certificates and overall health certificates were provided to the tribal youth of Anuppur, Jhabua, Betul, Barwani, Khargone and Dhar districts of Madhya Pradesh including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
Governor Patel said that co-operation and support in the efforts of nation development is the responsibility of every individual and society. He appreciated the efforts of the tribal youth for skill upgradation and village development in the cluster development project. He said that skilled manpower is an important factor in the overall development of the country and the State. Skill development of youth is the cornerstone of Atmanirbhar Bharat, which is the national need of the present times.
The programme started with the guests garlanding the statue of Maa Saraswati, Managing Director of CRISP Dr Shrikant Patil, social worker V Satish, MPs, public representatives and other dignitaries were also present.
Regular evaluation necessary for quality skill training: Governor Patel said that ready-to-work human resource should be made available to the employers at the local level through employment-oriented training courses. Regular
system of evaluation and monitoring of institutions is essential for quality skill training. The training institutes should also be given regular guidance and encouragement for better performance. Efforts should also be made for new methods and techniques of study and research to increase the efficiency of training institutes. He expected that it is also necessary to connect the rural tribal youth with employment at the local level and update them with new technology and knowledge in the project.
Skill upgradation vital today: Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar: Union Minister of State for Electronics, Information Technology, Skill Upgradation and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Chandrashekhar addressed the programme virtually from Delhi. He said that skill upgradation is the passport to enter the new possibilities being created in New India. Parliamentary Development Project is the launching pad from where youth can achieve new heights in life. He said that villages pave the way to Atmanirbhar Bharat. Therefore, it is necessary for the youth to create employment at the local level through their skills.
Member of Parliament Sameer Oraon said that the Parliamentary Development Project has infused new confidence among the tribal youth. He expected the youth to co-operate in the development of self-reliant villages as rural engineers. They should support in fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s resolve of ‘Har Haath Ko Kaam, Har Khet Ko Pani’. Heroes of ‘Hul Kranti’ (June 30, 1855), brave Amar Shaheed, Siddha, Kanu, Chand, Bhairon, Phula and Jhano were remembered in the programme.
Member of Parliament Gajendra Singh Patel conducted the programme. He said that along with certificates of completion of 50 days training, certificates of Samagra Swasthya have also been given to all the participants. It has a unique ID. With this, youth will be able to easily get health related facilities anywhere.
Chief Operating Officer of National Skill Development Corporation Ved Mani Tiwari said that the participants of the pilot project would be given constant support. He asked the participants to inspire others to benefit from the project.
