Under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), the drinking water will be supplied in 469 villages of State through group water

supply scheme. Along with this, water will also be provided to five industries and power plants.

The decision was taken in the meeting of State Water Resources Utilisation Committee held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain at Mantralaya, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar. Water will be supplied from the main canal of

Champi Jalashay Yojana for 21 villages of Kota block in Bilaspur district under Chapora-Baradih-Banabel Samuh Jal Praday Yojana.

Water will be supplied from the Samoda barrage built on the Mahanadi for 48 villages in Mahasamund district under Samoda-Achola Samuh Jal Praday Yojana. Around 34 villages of Patharia block in Mungeli district, water will be supplied from Madku Anicut built on Shivnath river under Sanwa-Birbira Samuh Jal Praday Yojana.

Water will be supplied to 23 villages in Kondagaon development block of district Kondagaon from Kosarteda reservoir for Ghoragaon-Joba Samuh Jal Praday Yojana.

Water will be supplied from Maniyari river/Manyari reservoir (Khudia dam) to 206 villages of Lormi, Mungeli Patharia development block of Mungeli district for Khudia Sahum Jal Praday Yojana. Water will be made available to 61 villages of Berla development block of Bemetara district from Motimpur Viroda Anicut of Shivnath river for Motimpur Samuh Jal Praday Yojana. Water will be supplied from Mahanadi to 33 villages in Pahar Amoran of Bhaiyathan development block of Surajpur district for Sarasore Samuh Jal Praday Yojana. Water will be supplied from Red river for Jhilmili Samuh Jal Praday Yojana of 43 villages in Pasal village of Bhaiyathan development block.

Water from Banki river will be provided to the proposed Bio-ethanol distillery plant near village Paraswakhurd in Balrampur district. Water will be supplied to the proposed Sona Power Plant near village Mudpar of Nawagarh Tehsil of Janjgir-Champa from Mahanadi. The proposed Jaiswal Niko Iron Ore Plant near village Chhotedongar in Narayanpur district will be given water from Madin river. The proposed GOS Ispat near Ghughwadih village in Simga of Balodabazar-Bhatapara will be given water from Bahinga Anicut built on Shivnath river.
