Govt Dental College & Hospital stands 9th in NIRF ranking in country

Government Dental College and Hospital (GDCH) of Nagpur stood 9th in the country and second in Maharashtra in the ranking conferred by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). This is a big achievement for any Government institute.
Dr Abhay Datarkar, Dean of GDCH, expressed happiness over the development. He attributed the credit of this achievement to his staff. “In recent time, GDCH is coming with new initiatives. We are trying to match ourselves with that of global standards. While focussing on development we have not ignored patients’ needs. On one hand, we are introducing advanced technology while on other we are updating our clinical skills so that patients should get better treatment.”
Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) secured top position from Nagpur region among all private engineering colleges. Central Government’s Ministry of Education every year declares NIRF ranking. This year also, it made the announcement on Friday.
Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University), Wardha; Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Post Graduate Teaching Department of Pharmacy run by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur
University (RTMNU); Government Dental College and Hospital (GDCH) topped the ranking in their respective categories from the region.
VNIT stood 68th in Overall category and 32nd in Engineering category. VNIT also figured in the category of Architecture where it has improved its own ranking by rising from 11th last year to 8th this year. PGTD, Pharmacy of RTMNU secured 42nd rank while Smt Kishoritai Bhoyar College of Pharmacy stood 53rd among Pharmacy colleges. Bhoyar college stood first in Vidarbha among all the private pharmacy colleges.
In Engineering colleges category Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management got 146th, G H Raisoni College of Engineering secured 163rd, Yashwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) got 185th ranking. IIM, Nagpur got 43rd rank while IMT secured 95th rank.
