Dr Hirekhan becomes Registrar of Gondwana University

Dr Anil Kothiram Hirekhan, Deputy Registrar (Development Section) at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has been appointed as Registrar of Gondwana University.

Dr Hirekhan who has administrative experience of more than 20 years handled various responsibilities like Registrar, Controller of Examination, Finance and Account Officer, Director, Board of Examination and Evaluation, Registrar (On Deputation) at RTMNU.

Dr Hirekhan who has done MBA, PhD in Human Resource Management, has 3 years teaching experience too. He worked as University-approved lecturer at Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science, Ramtek.

An RTMNU Best Officer awardee, Dr Hirekhan told ‘The Hitavada’, “As a Registrar, I would like to improve and innovate few structural adjustment, which would take the University to higher levels for upliftment and general welfare of poor students of Vidarbha and other students in general.”

It was Dr Hirekhan who has taken a lot of efforts to develop Samvidhan Park in the premises of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law, conducted by RTMNU.

“As per recommendation of Agrawal Committee regarding the examination reform, I as Deputy Registrar (Pre Examination) initiated a system regarding receiving online enrolment and examination forms. I also participated in proposing and developing the policies regarding examination reforms in the University. As a Finance and Account Officer, I introduced Gateway Payment System, for online payment of examination fees, affiliation fees etc. I also have proud feeling for contributing in the renovation of the University guest house and beautification of the campus of the university as Assistant Registrar of campus.
