Rail Safety Commissioner (Central Zone), Mumbai, Manoj Arora conducted inspection of 22-kms rail line doubling work between Chabda Gugor and Motipura Chowki Station on Bina-Kota rail block of Kota division under West Central Railway, on Monday. During the inspection, electrical engine speed trial of 125 kms / hour was successfully carried out on double line of Chhabra Gugor to Motipura Chowk. Rail Safety Commissioner expressed his satisfaction over the speed trial and quality of development works.
Line doubling work is being carried out under the head of rail infrastructure development programme of West Central Railway for strengthening rail line projects connected with industrial areas.
On the occasion, WCR headquarters’ heads of departments, chief administration officer (construction), Divisional Rail Manager and other senior officers concerned with engineering, operation, electrical, signal and telecom departments.
During the inspection, Rail Safety Commissioner inspected the safety and security measures related to track, bridge, station, resources, OHE line, signaling and other technical works on the rail block. He conducted inspection at three railway stations include Chhabra Gugor, Bhulen and Motipura Chowki on Chhabra Gugor and Motipur Chowki rail block. It was informed that a major bridge between Chhabra Gugor to Motipura Chowki rail block, 25 small bridges, 8 curves and 3 level crossing gates have been constructed on the route.
West Central Railway has completed doubling and tripling line works of 29-kms in year year 2022-23 and doubling and tripling work of 179-kms was completed in year 2021-22. Operation of trains will be started with the commissioning of rail block. Line doubling work will increase seed of trains and increase operation of freight trains for financial development of the area. Kota division.
