Jabalpur police and security forces are on their toes to ensure total security arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations in the district. With an aim to maintain law and order situation during the Independence Day, police have started an intensive checking campaign at all the public places, sensitive areas and important places in the district like government buildings, railway station, bus stand, malls, talkies and other dense areas.
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS), police teams under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Gopal Prasad Khandel, Additional SP (Crime), Summer Verma, Additional SP (South), Sanjay Kumar Agrawal and Additional SP (Rural), Shivesh Singh Baghel conducted rigorous search at sensitive places in the city and checked suspected persons.
Additional police deployment has been made for keeping vigilant eye on suspicious activities and maintaining law and order situation in the district.
According to the directions of Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna, separate police parties have been constituted for establishing checking points and checking of all the vehicles in city area and district borders. In this series, an intensive vehicle checking drive was conducted at main streets and squares in the city area. Besides this, police teams are monitoring the maintenance of records of persons staying in hotels, lodges and carrying out search in public places. Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna has appealed the residents to avoid any kind of rumour and maintain peaceful atmosphere in the city. He urged the residents to inform about any suspected thing and person to their nearest police station.
The team of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted random search at all public places including bus stand, railway station, market places, malls, parks and public gardens.
