SECR Raipur Railway Station observed Partition Horror Remembrance Day

South East Central Railway (SECR) Raipur Railway Station observed Partition Horror Remembrance Day on Sunday. The main objective of the programme was to express solidarity with families who faced the horrors and to maintain community unity.
At the start, Assistant Division Personnel Officer Ruhina Tufail Khan addressed the gathering with patriotic song. The programme was graced by the presence of former MLA Bernard Rodriguez, senior SP GS Bhamra, Sikh Community convener Surendra Singh Chhabra, Balwinder Singh Arora, Romi Bhatta and Senior Sub-Division Engineer Abid Qureshi.
Audiences were overwhelmed by emotions with visualization of horrors of partition in 1947 presented by Senior Division personnel Uday Kumar Bharti. Those who faced the crisis first hand were seen particularly emotional. Assistant Commerce Officer Shambhu Shah narrated the horror of partition, stressing on the building a new Bharat by forgetting all those things.
To the same note, Railway Division Cultural Association Raipur presented a drama on Railway with the aim to maintain national unity. The programme was coordinated by Welfare Inspector Faridi Nisar Ahmed and supported by Swarna Singh Kalsi, Chief Office Superintendent. Assistant Personnel Officer Ruhina proposed vote of thanks and extended compliments of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
