On the occasion of Independence Day, the flag was hoisted by Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court and Patron-in-Chief, MP State Legal Services Authority (MPSLSA), Justice Ravi Malimath and award of ISO certification to the State Legal Services Authority and along with various activities and cultural programmes. Justice Malimath hoisted the flag at the premises of MP State Legal Services Authority. On this occasion, Justice Sheel Nagu, Administrative Judge, MP High Court and Executive Chairman, MPSLSA, Jabalpur, judges, MP High Court, Jabalpur and other guests also graced the occasion. In this programme, various cultural programmes were also organised along with the launching of a new website of MPSLSA by the chief guest.
The Chief Justice released the book prepared by the State Authority which has a compilation of ‘Public Welfare Schemes of the Central and State Government. Also, a leaflet related with the Permanent Lok Adalat Public Utility Service was also released.
Under the Panch- J State Level Tree Plantation Campaign, 2,05,000th sapling was planted by the Chief Justice in the premises of State Authority Under the Panch-J campaign, a sapling of Rudraksha was planted by the Chief Justice, to mark the completion of State-wide Tree Plantation Campaign conducted by the State Legal Services Authority. Along with this, a girl child Anshika of Bal Grah, also planted the Rudraksha sapling in the office premises. It is informed that a total of 2,05,000 saplings have been planted in entire MP under the campaign and special efforts have also been made by the State Authority to ensure that the saplings planted during the campaign are properly protected as well. The newly-constructed seminar hall of State Authority, Bal Sadan (Creche) inaugurated and certificate of ISO issued to MPSLSA unveiled by the chief guest. Further, as a result of fulfilling the standards, the State Authority received ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System Certificate and ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System certificate. On the occasion, the newly-designed website by the State Authority was also launched by the Chief Justice. This website provides necessary and important information related with District Authority and Tehsil Legal Services Committees, including the activities conducted by the State Authority to the general public. On the behalf of the State Authority, Deputy Secretary of MPSLSA informed that the new website, not only provides the information about the activities conducted by the Legal Services Institutions but also through this website any person can apply to the State Authority his grievances. Other facilities including screen reader access for partially visually impaired persons is also available in the new website along with other facilities. After the inauguration of the seminar hall, cultural programmes were also held in which children of Bal Griha Ranjhi and visually impaired girls’ school, presented attractive presentations and recited Ved Shlokas. A patriotic song was sung by singer Saveri Satyarthi and her team. A short drama showing domestic violence and the working of legal service institutions was also performed by law students of Mangalayatan University. In the programme, Registrar General of High Court, Ram Kumar Choubey, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Naveen Kumar Saxena, Registry Officers of HC, judicial officers of District Court and Judicial Academy, representatives of Bar Associations and advocates were also present. The programme was conducted by Rajiv Karmahe, Member Secretary and a vote of thanks was proposed by Additional Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. All officers and employees of the State Authority were also present in the program.
