‘Hard work is key to success in any field’

Joint Development Commissioner Swati Shahi said that hard work is the key to success in any field and there is no short cut to success. She was expressing her views at the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) recently conducted by MSME-DFO, Nagpur. The objective of the programme was to create awareness about entrepreneurship and encourage the youth for self-employment.
Shahi, who was on her official visit to the city, further said that today’s youth is very much aware and capable to take decisions as far as choosing their career is concerned.
“In entrepreneurship, there are immense opportunities. Sky is the limit. You have to take decision as per your mind set,” she added while explaining that for becoming successful in business, 5 things are required - vision, passion, assistance (financial assistance) technology know-how and marketing skills (how to market the products).
Highlighting that MSMEs are the growth engine of all the developed countries of the world, Shahi encouraged the young participants, prospective entrepreneurs to become job providers and not job seekers. At the end, she wished all the participants for their bright future by becoming successful entrepreneurs. Swati Shahi also answered the queries raised by the participants.
At the outset, Dr V R Sirsath, Joint Director, MSME-DFO, Nagpur welcomed the dignitaries on the dais and the participants and appealed to the participants to take benefit of the programme. He encouraged the youth to start their own enterprises from the young age. He said for starting a business there are no restrictions of age, qualification etc. Anybody can start the business on small scale initially and become successful. By becoming self-employed they can give employment to others. He said that there is the necessity to do SWOT analysis. He explained the four ways of earning income through cash flow quadrant example. Shirsath also explained in brief about the various schemes of Ministry of MSME. In the technical sessions, Ajay Rathod, DIC explained the schemes of DIC through his presentation. Rakesh Kumbhare, bank official explained the schemes of bank for the prospective and existing entrepreneurs and asked the participants to take benefit of the schemes.
P T Doifode, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Nagpur explained various schemes of MSME and asked the participants to take its benefit. Parineeta Pandhram, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO and programme co-ordinator gave presentation on MSME schemes while Doifode proposed vote of thanks.
