Conveying the message that ‘Smiling is Human’s basic nature’, Jabalpur unit of ‘The Art of Living’ organised a nine-day Prison Smart Camp at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Central Jail marking the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The organisers showed the inmates and under-trials the real art of living life with spiritualism and positive approach. As a result, various positive changes were observed in their attitude till the Prison Smart Camp concluded on Thursday.
They shared new experiences they observed while attending the camp. Addressing the concluding event, Superintendent, Central Jail, Akhilesh Tomar informed that the inmates underwent a complete make-over with positive thoughts and approach towards life with the help of Sudarshan Kriya, Controlled Breathing and meditation they practiced during the camp. The camp was organised for 150 male and female inmates at three khands of Central Jail simultaneously. The Art of Living trainer, Rituraj Asati and Aruna Sareen imparted the trainings of yoga, meditation, Pranayam and Sudarshan Kriya at Purwi Khand while Naveen Barsaiyan and Vijay Agnihotri trained the inmates at Pashchimi Khand and Deepa Murjani, Preeti Pyasi, Sarita Chouksey and Padamshree Karuna Mudgal at Mahila Khand, respectively. Rituraj Asati from The Art of Living, informed that with
the inspiration of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar, such camps are organised at different
jails across the State under supervision of senior trainer, Aruna Sareen for last two decades. More than 17 thousand prisoners have been benefited so far.
