Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University) takes pride in organising national launch of four AMEE Networking centres on August 9 at its off campus, Datta Meghe Medical College (DMMC), Nagpur.
Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) is a prestigious worldwide organisation for encouraging excellence in health professions education. The collaboration between AMEE and the four centres is aimed towards fostering educational scholarships and best practices in health professions education.
The daylong event will have a series of activities. The inaugural ceremony will witness a plenary talk on “A dream for the future of Medical Education” by Father of Medical Education Prof. Dr Ronald Harden, Professor of Medical Education (Emeritus) University of Dundee, Editor of Medical Teacher and Treasurer of AMEE. Prof. Dr. Scott Johnston, Chief Operating Officer, AMEE, Dr. Judy Mckimm Professor Emeritus, Director, International Networking centres, AMEE, will elaborate upon AMEE’s vision and objectives for this collaboration.
The launch will be at the hands Dr William W Pinsky President, ECFMG, Board Chair, FAIMER, Philadelphia, Dr Russell D’Souza, International Chair in Bioethics, Australia, Dr Abhijat Sheth President National Board of Examinations, Dr Ved Prakash Mishra, Pro Chancellor, and others.
