After witnessing good response by consumers for electronic household products during the August 15 and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations the electronic dealers are decking up their showrooms for the Navratri and Diwali festivals.
“With all commercial activities open and no fear of COVID-19, we are expecting the demand to increase by 25 per cent during Diwali as compared to previous year,” said Gaurav Pahwa, Director of Lotus Electronics while speaking to The Hitavada.
“We were surprised at 15 per cent to 18 per cent growth in demand for electronic products and home appliances during the August 15 and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. This boost in demand has assured us that the economy is on the growth track and the electronic and home appliances will be in great demand during the forthcoming Navratri and Diwali festivals,” he pointed out.
All the major electronic companies have lined-up a vast range of products equipped with the latest technology. These companies will also launch festive offers, heavy discounts, cash backs, loan facilities with low EMI and extended warranties to woo the consumers. All these factors help to boost consumer sentiment and demand, he said.
Yesh Gandhi, Director, A K Gandhi Marketing said that the manufacturers are launching the latest mobile hand sets, laptops, air conditioners, refrigerators, deep freezers, atta chakki, washing machines, dish washers, LED TVs, irons, mixers, geysers, room coolers among other useful lifestyle products. Although the prices of these items were hiked by the manufacturers due to rise in raw material prices, still the demand is expected to surge by 25 per cent this Diwali season. He said, the aspirations of the people have changed and they want the best and latest products available in the market. Vedprakash Jaiswal, Director of Vedoms expects that there would be robust growth in demand of more than 25 per cent this Diwali festive season.
He said that the growth in demand for electronic and household products will be driven by more footfalls coming to the showrooms. People want to feel and experience the new products they want to buy. They also want assured and fast after sales service.
