MP Power gets Environ Excellence Award

 

 

 

Renowned power generation company, MB Power Thermal Power Plant at Jaithairi has been presented the Environment Excellence Award by Mission Energy Foundation.

This award was conferred to MB Power for fulfilling the set Environment norms for SO2 and NO2 Emission. This prestigious award was presented To MB Power during two day long workshop ‘Expo Award SO2 NO2-2022 and Water Optimisation -2022” .

This workshop was attended by representatives from Energy and Other Industries, Government Regulatory Agencies and others. From MB Power , AGM Baninder Singh and Environment Officer Abhiram Patel, accepted this award.

Environment department Head Dr Bhola Pradas Kushwaha gave detail presentation for this award and then on the basis of his presentation, MP Power was selected for this award. Dr Kushwaha said that this is great achievement for MB Power as company determination for environment management has been lauded by all.

He informed that MP Power is combating the pollution by using Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP). The fly ash emitted from the plant is used cent percent. The deserted mines of SECL is being filled by the fly ash so that land of those mines can be used again.

In MB Power during power generation, emphasis is on emission of NO2 under the set parameters. To deal with air pollution, Automatic road sweeping machines are being used. For keeping in control the emission of SO2 , the construction of FGD is under progress. MP Power has set limit of usage of 2.10 cubic metre per megawatt water in power generation.
