With the pledge to work for the progress and development of the city keeping political interest and rivalries aside, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh ‘Annu” chaired a meeting called under Section 30 at Pandit Bhavani Prasad Tiwari conference hall at Jabalpur Municipal Corporation on Wednesday.
The meeting started with recitation of Vande Mataram and offering tributes to Bharat Ratna recipient Jagatguru Swami Swaroopanand Saraswatiji Maharaj, Swar Kokila, Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, Dr Swami Shyam Devacharyaji Maharaj, noted comedian, Raju Shrivastava, corporators, Durga Patel, Koushalya Ghanghre, Reena Rajput, Ramkripal Vanshkar, Sitaram Sonkar, Dharmendra Sonkar and other departed souls who lost their lives during massive fire broke at New Life Multi Specialty Hospital and COVID-19 pandemic.
After offering tributes, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh addressed the house and appealed to everyone to keep political rivalry aside and work for progress and development of all the 79 wards in the city.
He assured that no personal opinions or particular ideology will be allowed to block the path of city’s progress.
Sharing his intentions with strong will-power, Mayor Singh repeatedly said that what he promised he fulfilled in the past, he will again fulfill whatever the promise he had made to the residents of Jabalpur. He made clear his intentions to intensify the pace of development works in the city and rectify issues and problems being faced by common public. MLA, Bargi, Sanjay Yadav also reached the House to boost the morale of corporators and offered his tributes to the departed souls.
