The State Government has decided that ‘Mahakal Lok’ will be the name of the corridor soon to be inaugurated complex at Mahakal Jyotirlinga in Ujjain. The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. It will not be ‘Shiv Srishti’, as ‘The Hitavada’ reported on September 26, with the headline ‘CM Office rebuts the name change’. As the first phase of project has been completed. Cost of the project Rs 750 crore. The complex will be inaugurated on October 11 by Prime Minister Modi.
The Chief Minister’s office pooh poohed the cryptic idea that was floating on social media platforms, and micro- logging sites that soon-to-be-inaugurated corridor’s will be ‘Shiv Srishti’.
The official confirmed that the it will be renamed but not ‘Shiv Srishti.’ Local administration and team of higher officials has been geared up to ensure all arrangements and preparation before the launching day. Since, a couple of days the officials are doing rounds to have stock of the arrangements regarding the visit of the Prime Minister. All the top officials of police and administration arrived here and taking stock of the arrangements before the proposed inauguration event of Mahakaleshwar Corridor by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was informed that after darshan of Lord Mahakaleshwar by Prime Minister, Mahakaleshwar corridor would be visited.
Total 36 new posts will be created for Ujjain Police Band and river front will be developed to maintain flow of Kshipra River. Major temples of the State will be decorated: The major temples of the State will be decorated on the inauguration of Mahakal project. Whereas saints and common people will be invited with traditional way by giving turmeric coated rice for this event. This grand launch program will also be broadcast live across the state. While the 84 Mahadev temple of Ujjain will have special decorations. Tadvi, Patel, Pujara and Pujari of tribal society who conduct religious rituals will join the launch program. The six-day program will start with the procession of Lord ( Sawari) Mahakal. Where on October 11, PM will inaugurate this event.
