Six employees injured as fire breaks out in Ordnance Factory Khamaria

As many as six employees were injured after a fire broke out in aluminum power in F-6 Section of building no 637 of Ordnance Factory Khamaria (OFK) at about 2.30 pm, on Thursday. The injured were immediately rushed to private hospitals after being given first aid at OFK Hospital.
As per information, two employees have been shifted to Marble City Hospital while three employees, including Nand Kishore Soni who sustained serious injuries, have been admitted to Mahakoshal Hospital.
After the incident, there is great resentment amongst the workers. Meanwhile, union leaders have also levelled allegations on the factory administration terming it responsible for the accident. They alleged that safety rules have been violated grossly in the factory and new machines have not been installed.
Union leaders have also raised question over the qualification of officers and alleged that non-technical officers have been given the responsibility of sections which are purely technical.
As per rules, an ambulance must be stationed at the filling station, but this facility has not been ensured since long time. As a result ambulance could not reach the site on time.
Those injured in the accident have been identified as Shyam Dev, Karan Arya, Nand Kishore Soni, Vijay, Kalu Ram Meena and Ankit.
